More to come. From Wiens Family Fun
How my $10 dollar Ride became $100.
Shantel had a friend who was some how connected with the wintergreen group. Her friend had passes for Nakiska for $10. She could not make it so Shantel Jocelyn and myself went. For $10 how can you not go boarding. So we met for breakfast and went on our way to the hill. Jocelyn and I were chatting and he said was that a flash of red. I missed it and we slowed down then there was a second flash of red which was followed nice bright blue light. Oh yes it was the fuzz. I got pulled over and the RCMP said I was doing 115, I could not argue I have no idea what I was doing, I was talking and not watching the speedo. Long story short he came back with a reduced ticked at 105 in a 90 zone. $89 dollars later my $10 dollar day was now $100.00 day, well $99, close enough.
Nakiska was surprisingly good there was not much snow, but there was enough and the runs were wide open. We found some really nice stuff in the trees off the top runs. So we spent most of the day there. It was the first time I wore 2 contacts since I had my eye surgery, depth perception what a difference. I could get my speed way up. We had a great time and only $10 bucks + we got a free drink ticket for beer... So it was more like $5 bucks.
